We clean the cherries from the tails and leaves. We wash them and place them in empty bottles that have been sterilized before.

Fill the bottles halfway with cherries (including seeds), add 5 tablespoons of sugar (for each bottle).

We move the bottle lightly so that the sugar spreads over all the cherries.

Add cold water to close to the lip of the bottle and put the lid on.

In a roomy and tall pot (as tall as the bottles) we put a kitchen towel, place the bottles next to each other, leaving little space between them.

Fill the pot with water and place it on the fire.

From the moment the water started to boil, leave it for another 15-20 minutes and then turn off the heat.

We leave the bottles in hot water until the next day when they cool completely and we will place them in the pantry.
