My husband and I already have a tradition. According to the way we take turns at work (he is a week in the morning, a week in the afternoon) we bring coffee and some food to bed. On the Sunday of the week he brings me food, it's my turn to bring something "special" as breakfast. This is how the idea of ​​making a hotdog with a twist came to me:

  • 4 chicken or pork sausages
  • a baguette
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • hellman's light mayonnaise
  • sweet or spicy mustard (according to preference)
  • cucumbers in vinegar
  • oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation time: less than 30 minutes

RECIPE PREPARATION Hotdog with a twist:

Bring the cream sausages to a boil and simmer for ~ 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the sauce "with a twist". Cut the tomatoes into small cubes and julienned onions. Put a little oil in a Teflon pan and cook the onion and tomatoes until they soften a little (the onion must be a little al dente, otherwise it is much too soft and not as good). Season only with salt and pepper.

Chop the cucumbers into small, small cubes.

Cut the baguette into 3 and cut each piece in half.

Put the "with a twist" sauce first on the bread first, then put the cream sauce, the diced cucumbers in vinegar, mayonnaise and mustard.

Serve immediately :)
