lb Yukon gold potatoes, cut in 1-inch pieces

package (14 oz) gluten-free kielbasa sausage, cut in 1-inch slices

4

cups broccoli flowerets (about 12 oz)

2

small leeks, white and light green parts thinly sliced, rinsed and drained (about 2 cups)

1

cup shredded Gruyère cheese (4 oz)

3/4

cup gluten-free sour cream

1

tablespoon whole grain Dijon mustard

2

tablespoons finely chopped parsley

    Heat oven to 425°F. Spray 18x13-inch rimmed sheet pan with cooking spray.

    In large bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of the melted butter and 1/2 teaspoon of the salt. Add potatoes; toss to coat. Place potatoes in single layer in pan. Roast 18 to 20 minutes or until very tender when pierced with knife. Remove from oven; stir.

    Add sausage to potatoes. In same large bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of the melted butter, the broccoli and 1/4 teaspoon of the salt; add to pan. In same large bowl, mix remaining 1 tablespoon melted butter, the leeks and remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt. Sprinkle leeks over pan.

    Roast 18 to 20 minutes or until leeks are tender, potatoes are browned and kielbasa is heated through. Stir to combine. Sprinkle with cheese; return to oven about 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.

    Meanwhile, in small bowl, mix sour cream and mustard. Top sheet pan with parsley; serve with mustard sauce on side.

  • Cooking Gluten Free? Always read labels to make sure each recipe ingredient is gluten free. Products and ingredient sources can change.
  • Switch it up—4 cups of cauliflower can be used in place of the broccoli in this recipe.
  • Leeks can trap dirt in between their layers as they grow, so make sure to rinse and drain them thoroughly before you start.

This quick & easy kielbasa and potatoes recipe is one of my favorite dinner recipes for my family. Kielbasa and potatoes taste wonderful together and the sweet peppers are the perfect compliment to both.

With it being so busy this time of year, I like to have some easy dinner recipes for my family such as this kielbasa and potatoes recipe. I have a few kielbasa recipes on my site because we usually have it on hand and because it’s great in skillet dinners like this with your meat-starch-veggie all in one.

This kielbasa dinner takes minutes to prepare and then you can just bake it in the oven while you do other things!

Cabbage is such a healthy and nutritious vegetable that can be made into something delicious for any day of the week and will be one of the smartest carbs you eat.


Roasted Potato Leek Soup

Ingredients

  1. 2 pounds Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and cut into 3/4-inch chunks
    4 cups chopped leeks, white and light green parts, cleaned of all sand (4 leeks)
    1/4 cup good olive oil
    Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
    3 cups baby arugula, lightly packed
    1/2 cup dry white wine, plus extra for serving
    6 to 7 cups chicken stock, preferably homemade
    3/4 cup heavy cream
    8 ounces creme fraiche
    1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan, plus extra for garnish
    Crispy Shallots, recipe follows, optional

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Combine the potatoes and leeks on a sheet pan in a single layer. Add the olive oil, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper and toss to coat the vegetables evenly. Roast for 40 to 45 minutes, turning them with a spatula a few times during cooking, until very tender.
  3. Add the arugula and toss to combine. Roast for 4 to 5 more minutes, until the arugula is wilted. Remove the pan from the oven and place over 2 burners. Stir in the wine and 1 cup of the chicken stock and cook over low heat, scraping up any crispy roasted bits sticking to the pan.
  4. In batches, transfer the roasted vegetables to a food processor fitted with the steel blade, adding the pan liquid and about 5 cups of the chicken stock to make a puree. Pour the puree into a large pot or Dutch oven. Continue to puree the vegetables in batches until they're all done and combined in the large pot.
  5. Add enough of the remaining 1 to 2 cups of stock to make a thick soup. Add the cream, creme fraiche, 2 teaspoons salt, and 1 teaspoon pepper and check the seasonings.
  6. When ready to serve, reheat the soup gently and whisk in 2 tablespoons white wine and 1/4 cup of Parmesan. Serve hot with an extra grating of Parmesan and crispy shallots, if using.

3 tablespoons unsalted butter
5 to 6 shallots, peeled and sliced into thin rings


How to Make This One-Pan Sausage Dinner

This one-pan dinner recipe comes together in about 45 minutes and requires very little hands on prep work. To make this sausage dinner, simply:

  1. Remove the seeds from the butternut squash
  2. Cut up a butternut squash
  3. Slice a few links of chicken apple sausage
  4. Shred the kale
  5. Peel and chop the apples.
  6. Toss the squash in a little olive oil and spices and roast for 10 minutes.
  7. Then, add the rest of the produce and sausage to the baking tray and roast for another 20 minutes or so, until the apples and squash have softened.
  8. Take the sheet pan out of the oven and immediately toss everything with a mixture of sherry vinegar, mustard, and maple syrup.

This kielbasa recipe was written down by my grandpa in 1966 (though it has been in the family longer) and there are three main processes needed in order to make Kielbasa, #1 is combining the spices and meat, #2 is stuffing the kielbasa into casings, and #3 is smoking the kielbasa. Once you break it down, it's really not that hard to do.

We know how easy it is to just grab some takeout on a busy weeknight, but with the right ingredients in the refrigerator, we can get a meal on the table for way less than it would cost us to buy something for everyone at a fast-food restaurant. The key to doing this, and in a short period of time, is preparing ingredients in a way that makes them cook quickly, so that dinner is out of the oven and on the table in 30 minutes. One of our favorite ways to do this is with sheet pan baking toss all of the ingredients on a baking pan and pop into the oven. Dinner comes out perfectly cooked, with only one dish used to prepare the entire meal.

Ingredients:
Baby red potatoes
Petite baby carrots
Dried basil
Dried thyme
Dried oregano
Paprika
Onion powder
Salt and cracked pepper
Olive oil
Asparagus
Yellow onion
Pork kielbasa

Kielbasa & Potato Skillet / Easy Recipe

1 Lb Potatoes - cut into 1 pieces
1/2 C Onion - chopped
3 Tbsp Water
2 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
1/2 tsp Thyme
1/4 tsp Pepper
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
4 C Baby Spinach
5 Strips Bacon - cooked & crumbled

Bring a pot of water to boil, cook potatoes for 5 - 7 minutes, just until tender.

Mix water, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, mustard, thyme & pepper, mix well and set aside.

Cut kielbasa into 1/4 slices

In large skillet heat oil, add onion & sausage, cook until tender. Add potatoes, cook for 3 - 5 minutes.
Stir in sugar mixture, bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook for another 2 minutes. Add spinach and cook
until wilted, add bacon, stir until well combined.

Homemade Smoked Kielbasa Recipe!

Homemade kielbasa made two ways, stuffed into natural pork casings and in a loaf. (Recipe Below)
In this video I will show you how to blend the spices, cure the meat and stuff the natural casings, and then smoke them on an offset smoker.
Kielbasa Recipe

Mix together until dissolved:
2 cups cold water
1 tsp instacure #1
7 tsp kosher salt

Mix together by hand:
4 lbs ground pork shoulder
1 lb ground 80/20 chuck
Once mixed add:
1 tbs sugar
1 tbs garlic powder
1 tbs ground black pepper
1/2 tbs onion powder
2 1/2 tsp mustard powder
1 cup powdered non-fat milk

Once mixed, add cold salt, instacure and water mixture and continue mixing by hand.

Chill mixture, then stuff casings, or make into loafs.

Allow sausage casings to dry out uncovered in the refrigerator over night.

Place in smoker set at 160ºF and smoke until internal temperature of links reach 153ºF and 165ºF on the loaf.

Dinner: How To Make Homemade Sausage Kielbasa - Natasha's Kitchen

How to Make Homemade Sausage tutorial. Homemade sausages are a great way to use less expensive cuts of meat to make something delicious, and homemade is best because you know exactly what went into it! My mom taught me how to make her version of this classic Russian kielbasa.

Ingredients for Homemade Sausage (Kielbasa)
►2 lbs pork with fat (1/4 diced, 3/4 ground)*
►2 lbs well-marbled beef (1/4 diced, 3/4 ground)*
►6-12 oz bacon, optional - use if meats are leaner (can be frozen)
►3 tsp sea salt
►1 Tbsp whole yellow mustard seed
►1 tsp black pepper
►1/2 tsp Mrs. Dash or favorite salt-free seasoning
►1 cup ice-cold water
►2 natural hog casings (about 10-12 feet total)**

How to Grill Kielbasa Sausage | Recipe

A favorite here at the Pit is Kielbasa (Polish for sausage) on a roll, piled high with slow grilled peppercorn sauerkraut. Or better yet Kielbasa served on a plate with kraut and buttered boiled potatoes.

Potato Kielbasa Soup -- One Pot Meal

Potato Kielbasa Soup
Ingredients
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1 pound kielbasa, cut into ½ inch pieces
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• ½ cup finely diced yellow onion
• ½ cup peeled and finely diced (2 large carrots)
• ½ cup finely sliced celery (2-3 stalks)
• 4 cups chicken stock
• 1 1/2 pounds potato, cut into cubes
• 2 cups milk
• 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
• ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese
• ½ teaspoon kosher salt
• ¼ teaspoon black pepper
• ¼ cup chopped parsley
Instructions
1. Add olive oil to a Dutch oven or soup pot and heat over medium-high heat. Add the sausage and cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove the sausage using a slotted spoon.
2. Add garlic, onions, carrots, and celery and sauté for 2 minutes.
3. Add the chicken stock and potatoes. Bring to boil and then reduce heat. Cover and cook for 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
4. Add the cooked sausage, milk, cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir and cook on low heat 5-10 minutes longer, until the cheese has melted.
5. Stir in parsley before serving.

Today I am making grilled Kielbasa sausage with cabbage. It’s delicious and just a few ingredients. If you have any questions please let me know in the comment box below. I have lots more to come so please check back!

Ingredients:
- 2/3 to 1 head of cabbage
- 8 slices of bacon (1 regular package of if you love bacon…the entire package ) I used about 10 slices
- 1 jalapeno
- Salt/pepper
- Lowry’s seasoned salt
- Sausage…our favorite is the polish Kielbasa sausage
- Chopped onion would be a great veggie to add as well!

16oz Packaged Polska Kielbasa
2 Tbs Vegetable Oil (optional)
1 Medium Green Bell Pepper, Chopper
1 Medium Onion, Chopped
1 Bag Success 10-Minute White Rice
2 Tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 Tsp Salt (optional)
1/2 Tsp Black Pepper

1. Chop your kielbasa into medium circular shapes.

2. Chop your peppers and onions into small pieces.

3. Place 1 bag of rice in a pot. Fill pot up with water, place it over high heat, and boil until done.

4. Place a pan over medium-high heat.

5. Add your chopped kielbasa and vegetables.

6. Add 2 tbs of oil (optional).

7. Season with garlic powder and pepper.

8. Stir in well and cook for about 20 minutes.

Cheesy Kielbasa Hashbrown Cassarole made in the Slow Cooker

1 32- oz. bag of hash browns, defrosted. I used Potatoes O'Brian.
2 links kielbasa, thawed and cut into small pieces
1/2 small onion, diced. Or omit altogether.
1 cup shredded cheese (I used a mix of monterey jack and cheddar)
1 small can Cream of Chicken with herbs condensed soup
1 cup milk

Sauté onions & brown Kielbasa.
Mix together milk & condensed soup.
Butter or grease side of slow cooker.
Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker.
Add cheese and stir in.
Cook on low for 3 hours.
Enjoy!
